Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate the safe and proper use of PPG and Nexa Autocolor coatings to customers in the automotive refinish market by providing training in company facilities or in road school locations. Contribute to the companys profitability through effective marketing and sales support.
1) Training - Primary function is to deliver quality training classes in PPG Business Development
Centers and at field locations (hotels or vocational/technical schools) utilizing existing
multimedia curriculum and hands-on application exercises. Travel could be as much as 50%.
Travel locations may be domestic or international.
2) Sales Support - Support sales activities in the assigned geographic region to enhance sales
growth of PPG products. Assist with marketing efforts during regional blitzes, surveys and
complaint resolution with customers.
a.Work closely with local Facility Manager and local Regional Sales Manager to support
growth.
b.Some assignments require travel and work outside of local area such as any location in
NorthAmerica including Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico and possibly locations in
SouthAmerica or Puerto Rico.
3) Customer Support - Serve as a local point of contact for questions relating to PPG products
and product application for internal and external customers. Provide expert technical product
and related equipment assistance to jobbers, shops and salespeople.
4) Product Research and Testing - Participate in field trials of new, existing or modified
products and related equipment for PPG and competitors. Provide feedback to internal
customers regarding product and market analysis.
5) Development - Continually maintain and enhance personal knowledge as it relates to the
curriculum and market. Incumbent is expected to hone training skills and knowledge base to
provide quality training as well as provide feedback to curriculum developers. Incumbent may
berequired to modify training to meet customers requirements. May assist with the
operations,schedules and budgets of a training facility (BDC). Manage all activities in
compliance with the PPG Blueprint objectives, EHS goals, quality, business conduct and code
of ethics policies.
Requires:
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in the automotive refinish field including refinish paint
systems: PPG, Nexa Autocolor, or competitive.
Fluency in a second language is a plus
Candidate must have a valid passport

- Must be able to conduct formal classroom presentations, shop demonstrations, and project a professional image.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) is required.
