The successful applicant will be sought out as an IT Security expert who is result oriented, innovative and has experience working multiple IT projects. The applicant will be responsible for implementing leading edge technologies in a fast-paced growth focused organization. This job requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional technical skills.The Security Engineer applies an advanced knowledge of security services/analysis concepts, practices and procedures. This position is responsible for deployment, configuration, administration, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Intrusion Prevention System (IPS).Candidate should be competent to work on the most complex assignments and perform a comprehensive range of information security services operations activities. The candidate should be able to routinely work under demanding deadlines and often handle heavy workloads, operating with only limited supervision.Positions in this function develop and implement information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems. Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data.Primary Responsibilities:

Functional SME for
Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM)

Develop and deliver
reports on security log data

Perform
investigations related to security events and work with other teams to provide
resolutions

Develop and
integrate alerts to identify security events

Act as a subject
matter expert for security events and response

Qualifications:

Requirements:Bachelors degree or HS diploma/GED with 5+ years experience in an IT Security role4+ Years IT security experience1+ Year experience with Palo Alto Security ApplicationsStrong technical knowledge with authentication and security protocolsFamiliarity with endpoint security protectionExperience with enterprise change control processesAssets:Any IT security related certification (CISSP, CISA, etc)UnitedHealth Group IT provides a diverse and comprehensive array of application design and infrastructure services designed to advance improved health and well-being for our customers, and to benefit UnitedHealth Group employees across the enterprise.
