Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for a Sr. Director of Global Operations - Footwear to lead global operations and Engineering functions in all Red Wing Shoe Co facilities as well as key finished product and upper partners to produce products within Brand specifications, both in quality and cost.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and implement action plans to accomplish operational goals & objectives.
Insure production of quality footwear consistent with brand standards.
Insure on time production per published schedules.
Insure continuous improvement of all processes in manufacturing through cycle time and cost reductions.
Insure operational costs are maintained within or under budgeted guidelines.
Insure all corporate and regulatory safety and compliance polices are met by all operations.
Manage the research and development of manufacturing processes and machinery.
Insure Commercialization of all new product and product improvements are successfully executed
Maintain a high level of employee morale through effective communications.
Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSCs electronic communication software.
Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Companys core values.
Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.
Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.

CUSTOMERS:
Internal:Leadership Team, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Mfg Managers, Manufacturing & Industrial
Engineering, Tech Center and Human Resources.
External:Suppliers, Outside Manufacturers

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and seven to ten years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the Footwear Industry and Manufacturing process recommended.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily located in an office environment
High percentage of time spent in the factory environment
Frequent Travel to out state manufacturing facilities
