Classification: Business Analyst

Compensation: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour

Seeking a Business Analyst for a contract to full-time opportunity in Minnetonka, MN! Formulates and defines system scope and objective based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology. Defines the functional requirements and works with the team to provide technical guidance, design specifications and approach. Collects and defines requirements, translates into functional design documents and may participate in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes. Consults with business process owners to obtain additional information during system development in order to evaluate an alternative approach. Work with other business analysts, project manager, business owners, QA teams, and developers to support development and delivery of a high-quality product compatible with release timeline targets Analyzes business practices throughout business departments and utilize this information to influence process improvements. Understands, analyzes, interprets and documents process workflows. Analyzes information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems. Studies and analyzes information about alternative courses of action to determine which plan will offer the best outcomes. Conducts system demonstrations and coordinates the creation of user guides. Job Requirements

- Bachelors degree in MIS or related discipline from four-year college or university; advanced degree preferred. 3 to 5 years experience working in an information technology discipline as a senior business analyst in a leadership capacity. Working knowledge of Agile and other development methodologies Advanced knowledge and expertise with lifecycles for IT programs, IT projects, systems development, and IT production operations. Experience with IT production environments, including operating systems, applications, middleware, databases, networks, servers, client systems, and associated hardware and software. Strong knowledge of IT production processes, such as change management, configuration management, release management, and lifecycle management. Experience must include knowledge of IT best practices and process tools. Proven business process analysis, strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
