Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allinas Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
Responsibilities
- This position supports the management/maintenance of the Excellian (Epic) Procedure Master (EAP) and related files for one of Minnesotas largest integrated health care delivery systems. In this position you will also:
- Help develop and maintain department procedures
- Facilitate meetings and document action items and results
- Process and triage work requires from internal and external customers
- Troubleshoot accounts and manage department work queues in Epic
- Work collaboratively with other teams in seeking revenue opportunities
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- BA/BS or equivalent preferred or applicable work experience
- 2-3 years experience working in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of CPT/CHPCS coding classifications
- Ability to read and interpret medical records
- Detail oriented
- Ability to interpret medical and anatomical terminology
- Ability to be flexible and adapt well to change
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
- Knowledgeable of current Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and other local payer policies
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently/self-directed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to take initiative to increase knowledge and take on more complex assignments as appropriate
- Ability to work as a team
