MedTox Laboratories, a LabCorp Specialty Testing Group, located in St. Paul, MN operates a SAMHSA-certified drug testing laboratory, a CAP and CLIA-certified clinical laboratory and a diagnostic division which is an FDA registered establishment. MedTox Forensics Laboratory Team is seeking a Technician. The Technician performs a variety of tasks receiving and processing specimens. This position will split the day between two teams within the Forensics department.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Receive specimens for testing; confirmation aliquoting, evaluate specimens and test orders; determine priority of work and batches to maintain acceptable turn-around-time.
• Perform initial testing, prepare laboratory reagents and standard solutions; adhere to the SOP.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean instrumentation; perform scheduled and as needed maintenance.
• Follow quality control rules; monitor controls for error detection and take corrective action; maintain laboratory records, maintenance logs, quality control charts, reagent and standard logs, and worksheets.
