The ICD-10 Business Segment Lead (BSL) represents a distinct business segment within UnitedHealth Group and is accountable for the identification of resources and for the completion of tasks per ICD-10 program objectives for their respective Business Segment. Primary Responsibilities:- Serve as the single point of contact for the respective Segment/Line of Business (LOB)- Lead Segment teams to define, execute and maintain the project plan for remediation of all ICD-10 Business Segment/Line of Business(LOB) activities.- Accountable for identifying, documenting, managing and reporting status for ICD-10 segment project activities including scheduling, resourcing, scope and IRAADs.- Attend and/or lead program core team meetings with ownership of Action Items and Issues.- Develop and manage the deliverables based Project Plan/Work Breakdown Structure.- Assign Work Breakdown Structure segment owners and due dates.- Drive all Work Breakdown Structure deliverables to completion by due date.- Provide weekly Work Breakdown Structure status with 5-Ons to Program Manager and Business Segment executives.
- Identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and establish Project Team.- Communicate program processes to the SME team.- Communicate and track SME activities. - Accountable for issues related to resource availability and/or productivity. - Ensure segment is appropriately represented in all program artifacts produced by the Business Functional Leads(BFLs) such as the Strategic Roadmap, Vision Document, and VFQs through a formal review process. - Proactively identify and manage segment specific cross-functional collisions as would a Business Functional Lead for cross-segment functions. - Serve as the single point of contact for the respective Business Segment to evaluate program level and develop segment level testing scope.- Drive development, planning, resourcing, execution and tracking of business-owned test strategies for respective Business Segment, including User Acceptance, Requirement Traceability, End-to-End Business Process and external Business Partner Testing.- Review and approve segment level test plans and results and support ?go/no go? segment release decisions.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years Project Management experience- RSA Methodology Level 2 Certified (UnitedHealth Group LearnSource) preferred- Some experience with MS Project preferred- Decision-making expertise- Business Segment Expertise & access to key segment business leaders- PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) preferred- ICD-10 Background preferred- Experience leading projects in the healthcare industry - Fully engaged (100% of time dedicated to program)- Project Management Knowledge andexperience in any of the following areas is a plus:- Human Resource Management- Schedule/Time Management- Budget/Cost Management- Benefit Management- Quality Management- Communication Management- Procurement Management- Integration Management- Risk Management- Stakeholder Management
