Scheduler at Inver Grove Heights

Responsibilities

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Propane Energy group. We are looking for a Scheduler for our corporate offices in Inver Grove Heights, MN. You must be detail oriented, have strong negotiating, problem solving and organizational skills with excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You must be entrepreneurial, independent, innovative, with strong strategic thinking and superior relationship building skills.

You Will:

• Orchestrate the movements of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL)’s from inventory locations, gas plants, and refineries to proprietary and non-proprietary terminals, meeting sales demands.
• Provide analysis, planning, communication and execution of shipping NGL’s from origin to destination.
• Schedule product for timely delivery, reducing daily operating levels and cost of CHS capital.
• Negotiate profitable exchange and/or purchase agreements with a variety of companies for propane supply, meeting our volume needs.
• Accurately report inventory positions, limiting CHS’s exposure to risk.
• Update the demand forecasting daily, keeping our internal reporting current and accurate.
• Input all receipts and deliveries into systems timely & accurately ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner, avoiding late charges and maintain our credit standing with partners.
• Collaborate and grow relationships with other energy groups, including risk management, pricing and sales.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other business degree related program.
• 3+ years scheduling, trading, logistics and/or supply chain experience to include;
  • Pipeline, rail, truck and/or barge logistics
  • Energy product scheduling and/or Agriculture sourcing
  • Inventory control and/or position management
  • Contract negotiations
  • Demand forecasting
• Experience utilizing Excel to create reports and analysis
• Knowledge of spot and basis markets

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
• Experience with JD Edwards 9.0
