Position Summary:

Kemper Services Group, a division of Kemper Corporation, is looking for a Property Field - Claims Adjuster to work remotely in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area.

In this role, the Claims Representative will rely upon previous experience in the field, investigating and settling first party property claims. Customer service skills are a must and applicant must have the ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of our policyholders. This job will involve the need for attention to detail while interpreting insurance coverages and assessing the structural and personal property damages. The position will involve climbing roofs and crawling into tight spaces such as an attic or crawl space. Kemper will provide you with the necessary tools to complete your investigations. We expect you to be skilled with using such tools as digital cameras, measuring tools, ladders, etc.

This position will be in the field the majority of the time; however, inside claims handling will also be part of the job responsibilities for this position.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive 1st party personal line property loss experience as a Claim Representative.
Education equivalent to a college degree or the equivalent in related work experience.
Solid PC and keyboarding skills.
Advanced software estimating skills required.
Xactimate estimating software experience is a plus.
Must have a vehicle for field travel and a valid driving license.
Ability to travel overnight as needed.
Strong analytical, problem solving, planning and time management skills.

Job entails some overnight travel and must have the availability to perform CAT duty if needed.

This position must reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area.
