Recruiting Specialist at Saint Paul

Job Description

TempForce, a premiere staffing boutique, is seeking a Recruiting Specialist for a well-known nonprofit in St. Paul.  This is a long term, temporary to hire opportunity.  This is a first shift opportunity, but candidates must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Seeking someone with sales experience and strong conflict resolution skills to do a mix of customer service/sales and data entry work in the recruiting area.  


Duties:

  • Interacting with members and potential members and the public and providing prompt and courteous customer service to all customers in person, via phone, written note, and email.
  • Implements membership recruiting marketing strategies including cultivating and organizing communities to result in increased membership and volunteers.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Utilizes the organization’s customer relationship management system to support leads throughout recruitment process to close. 
  • Seeks opportunities and keep in contact with community organizations, agencies and leaders, educators and faith-based institutions to increase awareness of and participation in the organization.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
  • Works with cross-functional team to determine or develop innovative techniques to ensure the effective delivery of recruitment strategies.
  • Promotes and assists with Council programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of direct sales experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual skills an asset – Spanish, Hmong, Somali
  • Strong human relation skills; ability to motivate people in small and large group settings
  • Interacting with members and potential members and the public and providing prompt and courteous customer service to all customers in person, via phone, written note, and email
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with Sales Force software and background in marketing / public relations preferred
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed
