As a Human Resources Manager with Navitor, you will provide a level of business partnership and administrative HR support related to general HR topics and apply general knowledge of HR topics such as recruitment and staffing, talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, FMLA, worker’s compensation etc.
- Conducts new-hire orientations, pre-employment screenings, write job descriptions, facilitate employee trainings, employee exit interviews and prepares and provides metrics for the business unit that is being supported.
- Develops, implements and administers policies and programs associated with the operations of the organizations Human Resource function such as: employment, orientation and training, and organizational development.
- Advises company management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction.
- Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
- Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic approach.
- Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.
- Coordinates unit activities with other functions (e.g., operations, legal, payroll and benefits) including developing and implementing policies and procedures on systems and the flow of information.
- Establishes, implements and maintains performance/service standards to monitor function effectiveness.
- Provide the organization with consultation on people management practices ensuring enhanced employee productivity and retention.
Job Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent required in human resource management, industrial relations, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication, analytical, interpersonal, multi-tasking and administrative skills.
- Ability to gain respect of others, be diplomatic and tactful, perceptive and insightful, and to influence others.
- Ability to be self-reliant and self-directed to effectively make decisions and resolve problems.
- Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.
- Be involved in and understand setting strategic business direction and change agent.
- Commitment to providing and maintaining accurate and confidential information.
- Ability to learn and use computer software such as Microsoft Office.
- Travel required.
