Mechanical Engineer - Process at Minneapolis

Job Description

Our client is looking for an energetic, problem solving engineer who hasprevious experience in a process arena. This role will play a critical part in continuing our clients transformation into a highly customer-centric company. This role will be working with team members to identify and implement improvements to the existing process and develop and start up a new, innovative manufacturing line.

Job Requirements

• A business-savvy perspective encompassing more than engineering
• 5+ years consistently producing product and process improvement and development
• Ability to quickly, succinctly and clearly communicate complex ideas and concepts to non-technical team members
• Experience with designing and implementing automation/robotic work cells
• Experience in product/process development and continuous improvement
• Mechanical design
• Analytical and statistical analysis skills
• Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline Mechanical, Manufacturing
• 3+ years of previous industry experience required
• Competence in Microsoft Office, Solid Works, PLC Logic
• Innovation and creativity desirable
• A solid track record of completing successful manufacturing projects on time and within budget is essential
• Steeped in engineering and device process/product commercialization process improvement
• Six sigma black belt preferred
• Success will be measured by project completion performance and ROI or improvement opportunities identified and implemented
