Regional Banking also includes various retail support areas including Distribution Strategies & Services Group, ATM Banking Support, Compliance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales Service & Development Administration.Regional Banking Group Controllers (RBGCs) is seeking an experienced accountant to join the RBGC team. This individual will support the Group Controller and work closely with our team and business partners to understand the businesses; perform research and provide advice in the application of GAAP; maintain accurate General Ledgers: and advise and monitor financial internal controls. Responsibilities may include: providing accounting and operational advice; partnering with the businesses to accomplish accurate GLs & GL Validations; recommending, implementing & communicating policies & procedures for financial internal controls; acting as an accounting internal consultant and/or final authority, managing complex accounting projects in support of business goals and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This position will also work closely and lead efforts with other members of the RBGC Team and various business partners & finance teams in Regional Banking and Corporate Controllers. This individual will support the month, quarter and year-end close processes; summarize and communicate findings & recommendations (both verbally and in writing) to GCs and various levels of management; and meet various financial reporting and/or other deadlines.The ideal candidate will be someone who is responsible, motivated, and takes the initiative to contribute as an individual and as part of our team and can successfully lead and mentor accountants with less work experience. They will be able to problem solve and provide recommendations and solutions to complex financial and reporting issues. They will be able to complete analysis in support of management decision-making and demonstrate their proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and effectively communicate with individuals at various levels in the organization. This individual will be able to use their financial and communication skills to develop and improve our processes and systems that contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the team and will add value to Regional Banking and Wells Fargo. We are looking for someone energetic, motivated, and independent - someone who can get things done both on their own and by influencing and leading others, while successfully working with fast-paced and changing multiple objectives.
