Job Description

Randstad Technologies has an immediate need for a 3rd shift Computer Operator located in the South/East Metro.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree required in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

License Required: None

Experience:

Must be detail oriented

Must be able to work independently

Must have good communication skills

Must have good problem-solving skills

Must be able to handle multiple tasks

Microsoft Excel

Position Requirements:

General Summary:

This individual will be responsible for working 3rd shift performing operations duties on clients iSeries. This individual must possess good organizational skills and be able to work independently. This person should also be a self starter able to handle multiple tasks. This person will need to quickly address issues (or engage on-call programmers) in order to maintain Service Level Agreements with the Business and business partners.

Essential Functions:

Submit critical jobs on the iSeries per operator run books and special requests

Print and distribute reports accurately

Resolve job scheduling issues as they arise.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers as they arise.

Provide assistance to users, application programmers, database administrators, and other personnel as required

Monitor system messages and notify/work with the programmer on-call if a job malfunctions

Back up the other operator as needed by covering their shift when on sick and vacation days

Assist iSeries Administrator when needed

May need to work weekends on occasion

Accountable for all tasks delegated by the supervisor

Other tasks as needed
