Description of DutiesAs a Delivery Driver you must provide your own vehicles and are responsible for business-related expenses, including vehicle payments, fuel, taxes, insurance and vehicle maintenance. This position is a very fast paced physical job dealing with packages of various sizes and weights. We deliver packages on time every time regardless of the weather or traffic, meeting delivery expectations of our customers. You are responsible for loading your own truck, planning your route and delivering and picking up packages from customers with a smile. Our Delivery Drivers are the face of Dunham Express and it is imperative that they deliver great customer service. You will service the same geographic area. This not only allows you to build relationships with customers, increasing your business, but efficiently and strategically plan your route.

Job Requirements

• Previous delivery driver experience is an advantage, but is not required.
• Currently own, able to secure or lease a vehicle capable of deliveries to accommodate route size (i.e. 12-16 ft cube truck, extended Sprinter, various established truck leasing options)
• Drivers license with a good driving record (no more than 2 violations in 5 years)
• Ability to lift and carry packages of various shapes, sizes, and weight
• Strong work ethic
• Customer service focus
• Self-motivated, driven
• Positive attitude
• Understanding of route delivery
• Time management, sense of urgency
• Ability to logistically plan routes
• Experience owning a business
• Financially savvy
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills

Previous experience as an Independent Contractor, Owner Operator driver, delivery experience or prior business ownership experience is a plus but not required.
