Sleep Number is creating a culture of innovation and individualization requiring a strong training development leader to boldly enhance and brand our time-driven and topical sales training materials. This leader will provide simple, carefree, aspirational, life-improving sales training experiences while transforming time-sensitive and topical programs from concept to launch. They willbuild and execute leading training platforms and programs that compare with best leading training brands" as well as individually and collectively manage all phases of the training development cycle including regular reviews with senior management to ensure alignment to Sleep Number objectives and priorities. The Senior Manager of Sales Training is a director development position with the responsibility of strengthening the Sleep Number talent pipeline.
Responsibilities:
Lead curriculum development for immediate, monthly and quarterly topic-driven sales training and customer experience programs
Ensure that sales training is designed to serve Sleep Number customers and sales teams
Quickly identify immediate sales training needs and connections to make timely decisions in spite of ambiguity
React quickly to the need for change and lead, and value, collaboration across broad cross-function teams to develop customer-centric sales training in support of Sleep Number product and strategic brand priorities
Actively resolve all open issues with new training coming to market and work cross functionally with sales and Home Office partners to identify cross-team program risks, issues and decisions
Enhance sales operations and sales communication programs with customer experience and sales training strategies
Deliver assigned programs to planned budget, branding, resourcing, and milestoneseffectively analyze and interpret complex data and information with 4 Box Objectives-Givens-Solutions-Resources planning to set individual project priorities, as required, and manage project implementation
Allocate and inspire talent resources withRASCI roles model (responsible, accountable, support, consult, inform) to enable/sustain focus on top priorities and project implementation
Consistently be a positive opinion leader of Sleep Number and sales training development initiatives
Empower, coach and mentor training and sales partners with ongoing SILBAC coaching (situation, impact, listening, buy-in, action, confidence)
Assist in preparation of annual budgets and budget changes
Requirements:
Director of Training experience preferred with a desire to learn and advance at Sleep Number and the Sales Training Development team
5-10 years business/sales training acumen, engagement, and leadership
Strategic experience innovating and individualizing training and sales organizations
Superior verbal and written communication skills
BA or BS degree, Master-level education highly preferred
