Job Description:

TheService Managerwill prioritize, direct, supervise, coach and train all field Technicians with a focus on delivering World Class service that far exceeds the customers expectations. This entails observing all Technicians regarding their current level of education, work tools, truck & inventory maintenance, sales ability, ability to connect with clients and the ability to diagnose and present solutions that far exceed what the client had initially asked for. Also important is the building of long-term service partnerships between our company and our clients as well

Job Duties:

  • Performing Ride-along service and sales coaching and improving results in real time
  • Orientation of new Technicians to the company service and sales program
  • Perform Intensive Care on existing Techs who are struggling to turn around their results
  • Observe mid-performance Techs and suggest improvements to improve
  • Observe high-performance Techs and learn new techniques that work to share with others
  • Prepare invoices time sheets and proposals
  • Planning and management in the safe and efficient servicing of new and existing HVAC equipment, components and systems.
  • Establish departmental development plans, policies and procedures to ensure the Company fulfills its obligations for preventative maintenance agreements, service repairs and equipment replacement.
  • Responsible for meeting revenue and gross profit goals while assuring the work is completed on time and to the clients satisfaction.
  • Responsible for effectively developing, maintaining and reporting service department plans, work in-progress, service revenue forecasts and budgets, see that all local and state codes are properly met, and actively promote the sale of replacement units, as well as, service and preventative maintenance warrantys.
  • Responsible for working closely with other departments to ensure the proper transfer of all service work business data required for payroll, billing, accounts payable, vehicle management, and human resource management functions.
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees, employee scheduling, setting work priorities, and conducting departmental meetings, counseling and training employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective client and company objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Able to work independently and able to instruct others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to multi-task when needed
  • Industry specific knowledge of various components associated with HVAC service or Plumbing Service
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
