RN Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator-Rose of Sharon at Roseville

Job Description

Rose of Sharon Manor is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RN) to provide dedicated, compassionate service to the residents in our skilled nursing care / rehabilitation center in the role of Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator (MDS RN). Previous MDS experience is required.

Summary:

  • Perform ongoing evaluation from preadmission through discharge to ensure an appropriate reimbursement level for each resident.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as the nursing staff, within the healthcare facility to ensure completion of resident assessments.



Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Review resident medical records, care plans and charting to ensure proper documentation supports care provided and reimbursement level
  • Manage communication with managed care, VA and other payor sources
  • Monitor facility practices to ensure compliance with guidelines for participation in Medicare, Medicaid and other benefit programs
  • Ensure all new residents receive a completed and timely MDS assessment
  • Schedule, complete and transmit timely MDS assessments and reports in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other program requirements
  • Anticipate additional assessments triggered by significant changes in resident status

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse license in the state
  • Working knowledge of MDS 3.0
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer and MS Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and managed-care criteria
  • Ability to communicate confidently, clearly, concisely and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled care / rehabilitation environment of 1-3 years preferred
