Description:
 
Willis Re is seeking a Manager to lead a Team of Business Analyst Professionals tasked with the delivery of business sponsored requirements and detailed specifications. This individual will work closely with subject matter experts to understand business needs and then document specific details for consumption by project teams and development.  Leaders exhibit excellent communication and problem solving skills, requirements creation, analysis, design and support.
Job Description: 

Major Responsibilities
  • Leading the team and managing the individual team members, and their daily needs.
  • Works closely with cross functional teams like Development, QA, and Infrastructure.
  • Working with project teams on estimates, project status, and issue tracking.
  • Mentoring colleagues and partnering with other Managers on delivery goals.
  • Planning and prioritizing work to meet deadlines for yourself and others.
  • Define, refine and revise, communicate, and monitor department processes.
  • Presents process benefits and trains others on the workflow details.
  • Validating both the completion and quality or acceptance of deliverables.
  • Performing quarterly and annual appraisals for each member of the team.
  • Communicating project status, team status, progress, risks and issues.
  • Escalating to other Managers and mitigating the impact of changes on delivery.
  • Participate in projects involving resources from New York, London, Minneapolis, North Carolina, Nashville, Philadelphia, Manila, and Mumbai

Job Requirements

Desired Profile: 

Each individual will possess the following knowledge and experience.
  • Previous experience of leading Teams.
  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst
  • Proven analytical skills and a command of process and methodology.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical experience in reading and writing business requirements.
  • Practical experience writing user acceptable or testable requirements.
  • Practical experience writing User Stories and breaking them down into Use Cases.
  • Practical experience in problem-solving skills and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of Management.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies and concepts.
Preferred Experience: 
  • Experience with reinsurance or insurance industry a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise solutions like Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent.
  • Experience with Agile projects and SDLC.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Development Tools like TFS or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with custom applications using Microsoft technologies.
