Overview

• Develop business intelligence solutions that collect, analyse, and present information to the business, and subsequently develop the solution to address the business requirements.
• Responsible for the daily management and administration of SAP BI (Business Warehouse) while ensuring reporting accuracy for end-users with high performance.

Description

• Support and monitor the daily data load.
• Assess system operations and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Responsible for defining and documenting business requirements
• Develop functional and technical specifications to meet business requirements
• Perform development to provide solutions addressing specific business needs.
• Responsible for root cause analysis on production issues.
• Responsible for the implementation of solutions to resolve production defects.
  Provide project support within the SAP BW portfolio.
• Assess business requirements & processes and provide recommendations on which SAP BW solutions can best serve the business needs.
  Provide end user support and training.

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Business Intelligence technical experience
• 5 7 years experience of IS / business experience, more specifically programming and/or systems analysis.
• At least 3 - 5 years of hands on SAP BW experience, including development and support.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) versions 7.x and higher.
  Thorough understanding of the SAP BW ETL process (extractors, transformations and load processes), data modeling (Data Store Objects, InfoCubes, etc.) and BI reporting.
• In depth knowledge of BEx Query Designer.
  Experience with using variable exits, working with SAP BW content, and Information Broadcasting.
• Working knowledge of ABAP for BW is a definite asset.
• Hands on experience (1+ year ) with SAP Business Objects toolsets (OLAP Universes, Web Intelligence, Xcelsius, Analysis) is a definite asset.
• Experience and knowledge of Business Object and its integration with SAP BW is a plus.
• Knowledge with one or more ECC/ERP modules is desirable.
• Proficiency in designing and developing BI solutions with SAP BW and Business Objects.
• Strong problem solving skill-set
• Good organizational, planning and time management skills
• Universe designer expertise, to build and support data marts for reporting purposes
• Proven strong communication skills - both written and oral - with technical and non-technical staff and with management
  Expertise in facilitation, negotiation, gaining consensus and managing conflict of diverse stakeholder groups
• Team player, skilled in working in a highly collaborative manner.
