Job Description
The Web Content Administrator manages the configuration and content of the Regis Intranet platform, ensuring it satisfies the needs of an artistic and creative stylist community as well as the field leaders and corporate employees who support them. This includes the creation, delivery, and governance of web and social content within SharePoint, Yammer, and other portals.
The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-many-trades, utilizing communications ingenuity with technical competence and a bent for design and aesthetics. This role is one part newspaper editor, one part librarian, and one part museum curator.
The Web Content Administrator will join the Knowledge Management team, which helps Regis employees know what they need to know, when they need to know it.
Essential Functions
- Acts as a key member and facilitator of the intranet steering committee
- Develop and manage an overall content strategy
- Assess, catalogue, and organize web site content and knowledge assets
- Create and maintain content inventory lists
- Create and maintain taxonomy/nomenclature lists and definitions
- Ensure appropriate metadata is being captured and applied to content
- Maintain an active presence in Yammer to shape, moderate, and assist communities
- Work closely with Technical Writer, Knowledge Manager, and Salon Operations Support
- Write content and edit content written by others
- Develop, maintain, and enforce editorial style guide
- Demonstrates effective judgment in choosing communication medium and method
- Basic administration of eLearning content within Cornerstone LMS
Essential
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in web content management, content strategy and/or information architecture
- 3-5 years experience in creating/writing web content
- 2+ years experience with SharePoint configuration and content management
- Experience with managing/curating social media or discussion boards
- Familiarity with Office 365 and competent with MS Office
- Knowledge of standard design concepts, practices, and principles (color theory, Gestalt, etc.)
- Excellent written, editorial, and verbal skills, effective communicator
- Strong information management skills to handle and maintain large amounts of frequently evolving information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently andmeet deadlines
- Understanding of or aptitude to learn the concept of Human/User-Centered Design
- Approacheb ces work with a learning and sharing attitude
- Attention to detail
Even better if
- Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Bachelors or Associate degree in Communications, Information Management, Web Design, Business, or similar field
- Experience with use of LMS technology, particularly Cornerstone and Adobe Captivate
- Experience in an interactive design agency, marketing agency, and/or PR agency
- Experience with use of gamification techniques in a corporate or retail setting
