Performs on-call responsibilities, which requires a 24x7 pager on a rotational basis

In this position, you will play a role in providing Basis and database support for TR SAP landscape which consists of ERP, BW/BIA, PI, SRM, CRM, Portal, GRC and Solution Manager Systems. Additionally, this position will have the opportunity to play key roles on various integration projects involving other Thomson Reuters companies or newly acquired businesses.
Job Responsibilities
Implementation & Operational Support
Primarily responsible for technical landscape and administration of SAP Business Suite and Netweaver components that includes Installation, Configuration, Upgrades, System refreshes, Performance tuning and monitoring of interfaces
Support SAP Technical Infrastructure components that run on ABAP and/or JAVA stacks
Responsible for troubleshooting and Root cause analysis
Responsible for ERP, CRM and PI operational tasks like Message monitoring, interface and middleware set-up
Capacity Planning activities to track and control database growth, participates in sizing and SAP archiving activities
Support current SAP DR Strategy and Backup-Recovery/Configuration/ upgrade/ monitoring of DB2 and Oracle databases in an SAP environment.
Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts required for monitoring alerts and process automation and also guide Development teams for any assistance on interface shell scripting
Other
Learn and stay up-to-date on the architecture and implementation of the business systems applications with focus on SAP Technologies
Work with MIS Functional/Development teams in understanding requirements and design aspects to implement highly available SAP Solutions
Evaluate current technology and recommend tools/processes for improving availability, reliability, and stability and work efficiencies (within team or across dept.)
Generate innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
4 years of SAP Netweaver Basis experience required including
o 4 years in SAP Implementations and Operational Support
o 2 years experience in SAP J2EE Administration and Troubleshooting
o 2 or more years experience in SAP CRM Implementation and Support
o Expert knowledge of CRM Connectivity, Middleware, IPC and VC set-up in CRM Java
o Expert knowledge of Integration tasks in CRM and SAP landscape
o 2 years experience in supporting Oracle or DB2 databases in large SAP landscapes
o 2 years hands-on experience in operating systems like UNIX/Linux and Windows
Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple, competing priorities.
Proven ability to appropriately identify, take ownership, and focus on highest priority tasks.
Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
