Accepting applications for: Career Services Coordinator

The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for working with the Director of Career Services to develop and maintain relationships with the external community (area companies and employers) and the internal community (students and alumni) to increase job placement opportunities.

Duties include:

Contact employers to prospect job openings and conduct company site visits

Work with companies requesting campus visits

Email or call students for timely follow-up on job searches

Provide advisement to students in resume and cover letter writing and interviewing

Ideal candidates possess the following qualities:

Student-centered philosophy in support of academic excellence

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on quick response time

Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to learn and use necessary technology quickly and adeptly

Adaptability; able to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment

Passion and enthusiasm for discipline and/or area of profession

Requirements of this position include:

Bachelors degree required

A work history in staffing or recruiting preferred

Community outreach and volunteer work a plus
