Job Description

Coordinator ~ Controller ~ Engineering Schedule Coordinator** This position is in Thief River Falls, MN **

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Establish engine design schedule for all design phases including but not limited to: Proto(s), Production Proto, Pilot, and Production. Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Construct Bill of Materials on all engine components in all design phases.
  • Establish engine component spreadsheet listing all component specifications and pertinent information regarding the engine components.
  • Coordinate and track all component designs and ECNs from concept through detailing.
  • Coordinate and track all component final designs from completed drawing/file to chosen vendor.
  • Coordinate and schedule engine component durability testing, document all test data
  • Assist in the liaison work with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Testing, and vendors.
  • Identify and advise any cost reduction ideas.
  • Assists service dept and publications with parts books, service manuals and related  information.
  • Should have a comprehensive knowledge of design, materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Make accurate measurement and checking of engine components and assemblies as requested.
  • Accurately assemble and disassemble engines and related components.
  •    

     

    Job Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

     To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    1.  Possess the ability to communicate well and motivate associates, working close with all levels of  personnel.
    2.  Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
    3.  Possess the ability to learn Arctic Cats inventory control software system. (SAP)

    4.  Possess high level of understanding of engineering concepts and practices.

    5.  Knowledge of manual and automated measurement equipment (vernier height gauge, calipers,  micrometers, gauge pins, and parallels, portable and fixed CMM).

    6.  Possess knowledge of welding, machining and assembly methods.

    7.  Basic knowledge of 2 stroke engines

    8.  Proficient in various computer software programs: Microsoft Excel, Word and Project etc.

    9.  Handles data confidentially.

    10. CAD experience is a plus.

     

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

     

  • 2-4 years BS degree preferred or equivalent level of understanding/experience.
  • Minimal 2 years experience in technical field preferred.
