Electrical Engineer Job

Immediate need for an Electrical Engineer to work with an industry leader providing engineering and environmental consulting services to clients across the Midwest, and throughout the Americas. Work on project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise. Need for Electrical Engineer in the following areas: Ann Arbor, MI; Jefferson City, MO; Hibbing, MN; Duluth, MN; Minneapolis, MN; and Bismark, ND. Position includes compensatory time allowing for employees to earn additional time-off or salary for all hours worked over standard 40 hour week.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer

• Position will work on multidiscipline project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise.
• Preparation of plans and specifications, writing reports, and cost estimating and will include design of power and controls
• Responsible for the management of projects, coaching and mentoring less experienced staff, providing technical leadership, and team management to meet clients needs.
• Work will include integrating process, mechanical and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power or control systems
• Minimum of 5 years related experience working in a design capacity on projects at a consulting engineering or industrial organization
• Experience with industrial manufacturing processes such as power plants, petroleum refining, mining and/or minerals processing, pulp and paper, chemical production or municipal facilities
• Computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year
• Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members in a high-energy working environment that encourages self-initiative
