Total Quality Manager

 

Bix Produce, the leader in specialty produce distribution throughout the Twin Cities metro area, greater Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and Fargo, ND has an immediate opening.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage, and update all necessary food safety and quality programs as required by company policy, applicable regulations, and/or customer specifications.  Programs include HACCP, SQF, sanitation, allergens, food defense, recall and traceability, supplier approval, incoming raw material, in-process and outbound finished goods testing.
• Write new programs and procedures as necessary to remain compliant with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Monitor operations for strict compliance with Bix Produce’s QA and food safety policies.
• Perform monthly internal inspections and handle all 3rd party and regulatory audits. 
• Manage in-house and contracted microbiological testing laboratory.
• Monitor finished product specifications and enforce compliance.
• Review and provide written follow up on customer requests.
• Resolve product quality, health and safety issues and communicate with management.
• Audit the plant sanitation process.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: B.S. in Food Science or related field Food Technology, Microbiology or related science

 

The ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours.
