Creative Channel Services (CCS) is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic Manager of Sales Operations to lead the Sony dedicated fieldmarketing teamrepresenting theDigital Imaging category.The Manager of Sales Operationsis responsible for direct management of the Sony Photo Specialty Representatives who drive field activity and develope and maintain quality assurance that will ensure the high quality execution of all program objectives. This position is responsible for overseeing the execution and development of team objectives, the communication of team execution, team presentations and other materials as needed. Additionally, this individual will assist heavily in the support of the client, attend industry events and help drive value messaging. This individual will travel frequently toSonys headquarters in San Diego.
Role Responsibilities:
- Liaison between field team, Sony and functional departments within CCS organization
- Build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with defined client contacts.
- Evaluate, recommend, customize and nationally implement Operational Best practices that support the business direction, and that promotes/enhances execution.
- Provide feedback on current retail market conditions as well as opportunities and issues that may affect the clients business nationally
- Provide regular written reports with regards to execution to assist in driving value messaging
- Analyze sales and territory data to provide consultation and correction for underperforming markets and/or employee nationwide.
- Plan, lead and document quarterly Performance Planning discussions with regional staff to ensure entire field operation is on track with goals and for overall accountability.
- Conduct ongoing coaching sessions as an intentional vehicle to keep regular lines of communication open, and to create learning opportunities through discussion of day-to-day operational issues.
- Relay information received from Sony management to CCS field employees, such as product launches, advertising, pricing, and account priorities.
- Create, build, develop and lead staff in a team environment that supports the identification and development of talent (for management or non-management specialties) within
- Strategic Accounts (and possibly other areas), to include skills training for those roles.
- Manage a remote regional team, traveling at a minimum of twice a year, to covered markets within their region to interact with their direct reports and assess team effectiveness
- Oversee the day-to-day activities to include deliverables, promotions, and related activities
- Ensure the team meets productivity and performance requirements, andovercomes challenges regarding reaching metrics and other performance issues.
Business Knowledge, Skills, and Desired Attributes:
- Experience in/working knowledge of retail, retail operations, retail distribution, merchandising, sales and marketing and service organizations where client satisfaction is a measurement of success
- 2 years experience in management (preferably remote employee base)
- Understands field programs with shared and/or dedicated resources
- Client/Account Management experience desirable
- Strong understanding of Digital Imaging technoloy and category experience
- Experience managing to budgets
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills along with written, verbal and strong presentation skills
- Ability to forge synergy by maintaining smooth, effective work relationships at all levels; promotes a winning, team-based culture of inclusion
- Results-orientated leader who aligns resources to accomplish key objectives; assigns clear accountability for important objectives; sets the performance bar at the highest standard of excellence
- Ability to work with limited direction from manager in performing the job
- Ability to influence and meet/exceed expectations of client for field operations

Job Requirements
- Desired 3-5 years in field or retail marketing or related operations, currently in a Manager role for a high growth/fast paced company
- Undergraduate degree required, marketing or business degree preferred.
- Direct management experience for field sales team
- Proficient with Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel outside home market up to 75%
- Photography enthusiast preferred
