Gartner Studios was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in the historic river town of Stillwater, MN. Our products include stationery, greeting cards, print-your-own products, specialty foods, and related categories for all major mass merchants, on-line consumers, party suppliers and office super stores.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible to prepare and place purchase orders for domestic raw products, to meet the production schedule of the Tylina manufacturing division. In addition, they are responsible to process receivings and work-orders for raw material and packaging suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and place purchase orders for raw materials

• Understand Food Manufacturing and the components that are required to complete the process

• Communicate with suppliers to insure that specified delivery dates are met on purchase orders. Update system when changes occur that affect quantities and due dates

• Assist in reviewing inventories to determine if sufficient quantities are on hand to allow a shipping schedule change

• Transfer raw products between warehouses as necessary for production

• Create weekly status reports on each vendor.

• Track usage and waste

• Process receipts for raw component suppliers

• Enter pricing and create reports as requested

• Maintain vendor, quotation, and product files

• Check in quality control samples

• Source raw goods

• Secure pricing for upcoming programs

• Rough costing for programs

• Invoice approval

• Research invoice issues

• Schedule rework of incorrect items and excess inventory

• Schedule pack-out of display

• Work with warehouse & vendors on inventory (physical)

• Request pricing on programs

• Pick appropriate vendor for production

• Order correct amount of paper

• Schedule timing between vendors

• Set-up raw items in system

• Interview vendors to obtain product or service info, negotiate terms

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree required.

• Proficient in Word, Outlook andExcel
