Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Retail Instant Issuance (RII) Sales Manager – Direct is responsible for developing a sustainable sales pipeline to meet forecasted revenue targets, including identifying, qualifying, proposing and closing Datacard CardWizard® Retail Instant Issuance solutions across a portfolio of Traditional and non-traditional partners (verticals including but not limited to Card Management System (CMS) platform providers, Large Issuing Banks (Those with Co-Branded, Private Label and/or Corporate Card Programs), Program Managers, Retailers, government agencies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions Payment Networks and Check Cashers, Etc.). Often in order to conclude a sale, agreement and support of multiple entities (often 2-3) involved in the provisioning of payment instruments is required to successfully complete a sale.
Responsibilities:
Functional Customer Facing & Customer Engagement

- Establish and maintain Datacard CardWizard® RII value proposition to the above traditional and non-traditional markets in the above specified vertical
- Act as the selling expert for the RII solution in North America, driving the adequate strategic plans to identify and penetrate new markets and promote the complete Datacard CardWizard® FII solution in partnership with FII Sales Managers and/or Named Account Managers as necessary
- Pro-actively develop a strong comparative knowledge of all go-to-market avenues for FII and their ROI for the short and long term.
- Position end to end solutions and articulate architectural strategies to senior executives of prospects and engage different levels of influencers within the buying organization and at the level required to solidify the sale
- Strong new business sales execution skills and Account Management experience with a short, mid and long term approach and particularly with multi-level, complex clients
- Complete customer proposals and ensure customer needs and expectations are met by other partners within the organization

- Able to verbalize the sales status create and deliver detailed KPIs on sales such as forecasts, pipeline status, and in our CRM application - ideal
- Participate in proposal development
- Engagement of internal resources including other Business Units to drive sales, including collaborative and proactive work approach with Technical Sales Consultants in the development of business impact modeling tools
- Skilled at negotiating issues with peers, partners and customers using a win/win philosophy
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive offerings within marketplace
- Provide competitive account and market intelligence as well as voice of the customer information to product marketing and management, and help define market requirements to product marketing in support of future solution road mapping
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 5 years selling experience within the payments industry
- Knowledge of card management system technologies and methods including provisioning
- Experience and multiple year over year sales and account management success with complex solutions (Hardware, Software, Service)
- Demonstrated understanding and track record of success in Business Value Selling
- Experience working successfully within a Team Selling environment
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate business and technical concepts
- Strong technical and business knowledge with complementary skills to understand the customers’ business drivers
- Proficient with MS products: Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 75% - local travel is expected
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience within the retail banking/Retail Merchant industry
- Experience with branch/retail merchant automation software
- Experience with mobile solutions and/or micro SD
Prefer incumbent be located in Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO or surrounding area.
