Our client is seeking at Benefits Administrator to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.Position Summary: Responsible for input and maintenance of all benefits enrollment/changes on the HRIS system. Communicate all benefit enrollment/changes to the respective carriers. Reconcile and process benefit billings and pay claims/invoices for all benefit plans. Manage the administration of the leave of absence and short term disability claims. Assist with the administration of the COBRA and retiree programs. Produce all benefit reports. Respond to routine benefit questions. Key Accountabilities:Benefit BillingReceives, reconciles and pays all carrier billings for the benefit plans (welfare plans)Prepares/distributes monthly welfare benefit billings Runs all benefit reportsProcesses various files between benefit enrollment site, carriers and payroll systemBenefit ClaimsAssists carriers in the preparation and processing of death and LTD claimsAdministers executive medical plan (SelectAccount claims)Benefit AdministrationAdministers the short-term disability (STD) and leave of absence (LOA) benefit programsProcesses Tuition Reimbursement requests for assigned companiesManages the COBRA and Retiree program with the TASCMaintains benefit portal with current plan documents, forms and instructions BenefitServes as liaison for employees and retireesResponds to routine benefit questionsWorks with payroll on benefit adjustments and severance credits for job eliminationPerforms 401(k)-related duties (annual audits, vendor questions)Benefit EnrollmentMaintains the benefit/change enrollment information in benefit/HRIS system (retirement and welfare)Inputs all initial enrollment and changes for the 401(k) Retirement Savings PlanCommunicates all benefit enrollment information to insurance carriersProcesses various files between benefit enrollment site, carriers and payroll systemOtherPerforms FTE audit twice a year to ensure benefit eligibility is accurateProvide back-up to other positions as requiredAssist with other special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
3-4 years of experience in benefits and human resource administration; degree in related field desirable. Other related certifications a plusKnowledgeable of benefit and HR lawsExcellent customer service orientation with timely, solution orientated responsesAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under the pressure of deadlinesAbility to use mature judgment and discretionary behavior when dealing with highly confidential information.Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skillsRobert Half Management Resources is the worlds premier provider of senior-level accounting and finance professionals on a project and interim basis.
