Lead Web Platform- .com Engineer

Fortune 500 Retail Organization

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
In this role, you will be leading a group of engineers and be part of teams that are developing innovative solutions to move the .com platform to the next level. Will support and extend running applications & assist in the design and development of new frameworks and applications. They will be expected to evaluate and innovate in a rapid manner for every part of our platform. Overall knowledge of designing a framework to run on a scalable platform is expected. You will be working in an agile environment which means test-driven development and pair programming. We are creating a true engineering team whose focus will be on building core frameworks and tools that will help in automating and help move .com deployments to a continuous delivery model.

Responsibilities:
Developing Java web applications
Test Automation experience with frameworks like Selenium, Geb, Spock
High comfort level with Unix/Linux command line
Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture design

Must Have Skills:
At least five years of relevant application software development experience
Experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures
Developing Spring/Java/Maven applications
High comfort level with Unix/Linux command line
Strong social and communication skills
Strong automation-testing skills
Strong unit-testing skills (JUnit in particular)
Object-oriented programming and experience with Design Patterns

Experience in building frameworks:
Continuous integration
Test automation experience using Selenium or other similar tool
Fanatical about testing
