Sr. Director, IT Controls, IT Risk Management and Chief Information Security Officer

Job Purpose/Role
Oversees the design and implementation of IT controls/risk and overall security management strategy and framework and ensures that a coordinated and consistent approach to controls/risk and security management activity is undertaken across IT. Responsible for providing ongoing controls/risk management support and guidance to the business, designing and producing reporting. Overall accountability for Information Security and is accountable to the organization as the Chief Information Security Officer.

Key Responsibilities
-Has overall responsibility for IT Security strategy and associated processes. Monitors adherence to those processes, and partners with Compliance on oversight. Creates Information Security strategy for the organization and creates business case to support strategy. Operates across the organization and influences senior management to prioritize and fund initiatives. Also represents Allianz Life with Allianz SE regarding global Information Security representation and initiatives.
-Works with IT and the business in an advisory capacity to ensure that the IT controls/risk management strategy properly and efficiently addresses controls and issues. Develops and supports the strategy and framework. Designs and implements a risk assessment process to ensure that all existing and emerging risks are appropriately identified and managed.
-Ensures that appropriate policies, procedures, systems, controls and training are in place to mitigate unwanted risk and to enable the measurement and quantification of risks across IT. Ensures that risks are identified, managed and mitigated properly through appropriate controls, training and procedures.
-Works directly and cooperatively with Compliance, Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management, and Financial Control Team to ensure that the scope and frequency of risk assurance reviews are appropriate to the companys risk profile and Information Security strategy is implemented.
-Oversees monthly reporting to the Steering Committee regarding the status of plans and risk assessments. Keeps the Steering Committee informed of any issues, emerging trends and best practices. Manages the process for timely escalation of key risk issues and exceptions to policies.
-Partners with Process Improvement Compliance Oversight (PICO) to drive continuous improvement of control/risk management practices, commensurate with its size and complexity. Proactively monitors current and emerging regulatory and risk issues and changes impacting the Company. Provides guidance, advice and leads implementation of initiatives to address issues.
-Provides technical support and training to the IT Staff on risk-related issues and performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
-8-10+ years experience with IT controls, IT risk management, and information security management
-Leadership and influencing skills, ability to interact with senior executives, strategic orientation
-Bachelors degree in technical discipline; or equivalent experience and/or training
